Retouch Breakdown

The Challenge

The concept had sold through and another designer had created a set of 3D renders. I was tasked with the colour grade and retouching, including:

  • Combine the different 3D rendered layers, adjusting the amount of rim light detail, shadows, highlights and bulb brightness

  • Add a sense of motion to the basket balls

  • Give the image a warm and premium feeling colour grade

  • Composite in stock elements such as a curtain behind the sign and pings of light from the bulbs
